Zero Gravity Position

Zero Gravity is one of the most therapeutic positions. It was originally developed by NASA to help astronauts cope with the gravitational stress of taking off in a rocket. In this position, the chair reclines such that most of the body’s weight is shifted to and held by the backrest. At the same time, the legs are elevated at or above the heart. With vertical pressure removed and the weight of the body offset, the spine and muscles can decompress and relax. Zero Gravity technology is particularly well-suited for massage chairs because it uses the user’s weight to hold him on top of the rollers for a deeper massage, while also increasing the circulation in the legs and feet.

Benefits of Zero Gravity positions:

Roller Types: Fixed point, 2D, 3D, and 4D rollers

Fixed point –the rollers are stationary on the chair frame, concentratedly rotating and vibrating the essential body acupoints to ease stiff muscles. As with the least tense rollers, they suit someone who requires a gentle massage.

2D – the rollers move up-down and left-right. Working surface muscles and back without getting deep into the muscles underneath, they are great at offering a relaxing experience

3D – the rollers move left-right, up-down, and in-out, mimicking the action of human hands. This works deep into your shoulders and back, penetrating the muscles, and making the massage a bit more intense.

4D – the rollers move in the same directions as 3D, plus rollers can speed up or slow down automatically to concentrate on tense muscles.

Which type of massage chair is right for you?

It all depends on what you require. If you want a basic and relaxing massage, fixed point or 2D massage rollers are a good option. If you’re looking for a more intense massage, upgrade to a 3D or 4D model.

S+L Track Technology

The S track comes from the sinusoidal shape of the roller track. By this, the roller track travels from the neck to the tailbone like an S shape curve and mimics the exact shape of the human spinal cord.

The L track has extended the S track covering the lower body massage to the lower back and buttock regions which greatly helps release gluteal pain, sciatic pain, as well as lower back pain.

The most advanced technology is the SL track. It combines both S-track and L-track rollers and starts massage from the neck to the hamstrings to reach maximum massage coverage and offer a superior quality massage experience.

Benefits of S+L Track Technology:

Body Scan Technology

The body scan is a technology that uses inbuilt sensors to “map” your back, height, and shoulders before automatically adjusting the rollers to perform a precise and personalized message.

Benefits of body scan technology:

Heat Therapy

Heat therapy creates higher tissue temperatures which produce muscle vasodilation, inherently increasing the supply of nutrient-rich blood into the target area to improve the symptoms of certain conditions associated with poor blood circulation.

Benefits of heat therapy:

Reflexology Therapy

Reflexology rests on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of qi (pronounced “chee”), or “vital energy flow”, in which different body parts correspond with different pressure points on the body. When a person feels stressed, their body blocks the flow. This can cause an imbalance in the body that leads to illness. Reflexology aims to keep qi flowing through the body by massaging different pressure points on the body, keeping it balanced and disease free.

Benefits of reflexology massage:

Airbag Compression Therapy

Airbag compression is an effective massage technique performed by inflating and deflating airbags pressure over muscle areas and pushing down onto the tissues, it stimulates blood flow to relieve tightness, and pains in the muscles and improve the movement of lymph fluid throughout the body, which helps in filtering toxins out of the circulatory system.

Benefits of airbag compression massage:

6 Massage Techniques

1. Kneading – a circular technique where tissues are lifted, rolled and squeezed in a compressive action

2. Tapping – one of five Swedish tapotement massage techniques by using short-duration fingertips to relieve soft tissue pain and soreness

3. Flapping – another Swedish tapotement massage applied with the bottom of hand palms

4. Knocking – a Chinese percussion massage technique by using hands or tools to ease muscle pain or numbness

5. Pushing – performing by laying hands over a muscle area and pushing down onto the tissues to relieve pain originating from chronic tension

6. Shiatsu – a Japanese massage technique applied with the fingers and palm of one’s hand to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the purpose of correcting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health

Benefits of 6 massage techniques:

Negative Ion Therapy

Negative Ions are odourless, tasteless, and invisible to the naked eye. These molecules can be found near mountains, beaches, and waterfalls where the freshness of the air around is caused by an abundance of negative ions.

Benefits of negative ion therapy:

Yoga Stretch Therapy

Yoga is a practice of mind and body combined with physical meditation and relaxation techniques. In the yoga stretch mode, a massage chair reclines with the ottoman to a horizontal position and the airbags inflate around the calves and hold them tightly; the ottoman then goes down, fractionating the whole body.

Benefits of Yoga Stretch therapy:
